Openhisa is a self-hosted desk for watching markets and automating paper trades on your brokerage account. It is not a broker, not an adviser, and not a signal service. Nothing here is investment advice.
You connect Alpaca yourself (bring your own keys). Openhisa never pools funds and never holds your securities. Paper is the default. Live trading requires the server flag OPENHISA_PAPER_ONLY=false, an explicit unlock in Settings (type LIVE), cooler caps, a cool-off period, and a daily ticket confirmation. Automations follow the desk Paper/Live switch.
Quotes and news are for research. Yahoo Finance data (via yfinance) is delayed and unofficial. Other vendors may be faster; none of them are a recommendation to buy or sell. Automations still pass Risk.pre_trade() and can skip when the session is closed, a cap would be exceeded, cool-off is running, or the kill switch is on.
You are responsible for keys you paste in, for recipes you arm, and for anything Alpaca does with those keys. If something looks wrong, use the kill switch. Pause Protect. Lock live or remove keys in Settings.
These terms can change as the desk grows. If Openhisa is ever offered as a managed product to strangers, that is a separate decision.
